I agree he did great for a long time. But listen to him now, and it appears his glory days are behind. If you would have put your money in brka in mid 98, you'd be down. Quite a different slope than the previous era when he averaged his 24% or so annualized return. No doubt there are some smart guys, but imo, the more money you have to start with the better off you'll be if you know what you're doing. Heck rough guessing the date in early 96 to be around March, he's doing less than 12% a year, not the greatest, but nothing to sneeze at. finance.yahoo.com
