MACD failed to get positive on this cycle and heading for a negative crossover. The third candle to the left (3 weeks ago) was a hanging man followed by a bearish engulfing (in esssence forming an evening star reversal starting four weeks ago). The pattern confirmed the hanging man when it closed below 1172.51 a week ago and followed through with a lower close this week. stockcharts.com 1184 is a breakout and 1104 is a breakdown. At 1127.58 we are at a cross roads. The Rydex numbers favors a move higher with lots of money piling into short funds but I can't reconcile this data with reality.
