WASHINGTON –– Enron Corp. fired the Arthur Andersen accounting firm Thursday in the aftermath of the auditor's massive destruction of documents, said an attorney for the bankrupt energy giant.

"We're very troubled about the destruction of the documents, and we're very concerned about the accounting advice we got," said Washington attorney Robert Bennett, who is representing Enron.

If in fact it is proven that any or all of those items were actually done on purpose....those who are found guilty should have to pay back the government for all the time and money it is going to cost to determine who did what....

And honestly, all the House and Senate should get together to make sure that they aren't duplicating work done by other committees..... And the media should call for this!!

Can any of us imagine how much it is going to cost the government for all the committees now started????
