If I wasn't clear, I meant that exiting the position entirely may not be what you intended to do. Not making a profit just happens to me often enough without intent or effort. (g)

And the caveat: if you aren't sure about LEAPS covered call writing, stay with equity covered call writing for a while, market conditions permitting, and read everything you can about options, including but not limited to the first 100 or so posts on this thread, before going further.
