I think your approach in the matter was the right one, Gregor.

Working ony my study of prayer through the OT -- still in Genesis -- haven't gotten very far. One thing stand's out so far: If prayer can be loosely defined as one side of a two way communication -- The Bible clearly teaches that God is the initiater of that communication. Were I to reach out to Him of my own understanding and volition all day long for all the days of my life -> without Him first calling on me <- I think it would be a waste ...

But God is gracious and moves first -- enabling me to call on Him and be heard.

Looking at Abraham's prayers right now -- what wonderful answers God gives to those who ask honest questions!!!

This thread is such a modern day testimony ... May God continue to bless all the participants here.

LET HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE...

Obviously, all here are saints and well-armed with stones. To dismiss and ban John Galt is to admit your faith is groundless and cannot stand scrutiny under the light of Reason.

Remember: only those that are close-minded (and thus primitive) slam the door on reasoned debates. Among those that did this historically were Ghengis Kahn and Adolf Hitler. You're keeping great company.
