The ENE National Energy Plan.....

I have a friend that shines shoes in DC, and here is what he heard...

1)" We need some drilling off the coast of Florida, maybe a combination drilling rig and Disney amusement park, with docking facilities for the cruise ships."

2) "How about some deep water wells in the Great Lakes. Lake Superior is so big that the rigs could not be seen from shore. "

3)" What's the hold up in the Alaskan Wildlife refuge? Lets not have a bunch of smelly caribou get between our political contributions and your Republican elections fund."

4)" How about some exploration rights in the Grand Canyon. That thing is so deep the well is half dug."

My friend said that the Republicans that frequented his stand were lousy tippers but always had plenty of envelopes to pass back and forth.

You threaders think I'm making all this up...and that's the sad part.

Isn't this a lot like the Tea Pot Dome Scandal??

Regards, Jerome
