Dan Somebody at Globex should be analyzing this event in detail and trying to figure out a way to prevent such occurrences in the future. I've seen nothing to suggest any such effort is underway, and very few voices even willing to suggest that something is wrong. Amen to this ...this is actually all I really want at this point.... It really amazes me that nobody is even willing to try to find out what actually really happened...To brush this off as just "the risk of futures" is just too much in my opinion... It really intriques me why nobody really cares what happened...and what's even more intriquing is the people who would act like it's a common, normal event that should be expected. Even Theresa Lo told me that the most she has ever lost on slippage on a stop was one point.. From her posts..it seems that she attributes the move to the fact that the nq's were at the high of the day at that point and a bunch of people decided to cover.. So in her mind, as far as I can tell, It was my poor choice of spots on the chart to be playing that caused my loss.... Well I've taken this advice to heart, but I've made a ton of money playing false breakouts right at the breakout point.. I've found that the vast majority of them fail, In my opinion, and my protection against being wrong has always been a tight stop to get me out if I am wrong.. I guess I have to rethink that strategy now. rok
