Don't make me gag. Marwan Barghouti is a terrorist, no more, no less. He heads the Tanzim Militia, whose specialty in the intifada has been shooting Israelis for the crime of driving a car on the road. Yet the Post calls him General Secretary of Fatah and a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, as if the Palestinians had a functional legislative council. He says he is not a terrorist? How about the organization he heads? Fatah just claimed credit for bombing the bat mitzvah in Hadera tonight. Seven dead so far. You tell me, If Osama bin Laden sends in an op-ed piece saying "I am not a terrorist", will the Post print it? As for ending the occupation, that just became a complete non-starter in Israel, even for the lefties mourning their dreams of Oslo. End the occupation? Why? So that Arafat can smuggle in his long-range Katyushas without impediment? They go 12 miles and have no accuracy, perfect for causing mass casualties in the city centers of Tel Aviv and Haifa, which would be in range.

based on full withdrawal from Palestinian territories occupied in 1967 and a just resolution to the plight of Palestinian refugees pursuant to U.N. resolutions. In other words: give back 100% of what we lost in a war that Israel did not want, including every strategic military vantage point we lost back then. Let us flood the region with so many refugees that we will outnumber the Israelis by millions. After making yourself completely vulnerable all over again and helping us double the forces mustered against you before, then we will negotiate something. Sounds pretty stupid to me. Give us 100% BEFORE we negotiate. Which leads to the question: what else does this guy wish to negotiate? The last wishes and last meal of the Israelis before they are hung? Sadly, yes.
