On "failure to modernise", when will - USA modernise its mediaval 2-party system?? - Israel modernise its party list system?? It is a pain to watch both of them, for somewhat, but mostly similar reasons. Ilmarinen Captial Punishment is another interesting aspect, the way it is applied in both systems.

<Israel is the outpost of the hated West> Often I am happy that some of the worst westerners do not consider scandinavia as part of the west, just those communistic weird things close to the Sovjet Union, and especially this side of sweden. (the first to set up a PLO office and with one, actually two, major assassinations in the post-colonial world) Ilmarinen Ever thought of rethninking this "West" as the colonializating or not, and thinking all those thoughts through?? (maybe from the Isabella of Spain in vain declaring the locals protected subjects, US taking over the former empire with the mess up of Moussadek in Iran, until these days??) Well, there has been some,one, pretty bad scandinavian thing, particularly one, in the past, but everyone knows as much of history as he/she knows. Much is up to the local Media... how deep they are willing to take the masses..
