<<I agree but what if growth in wireless is 10-15% >>

So let me ask you, what if growth in wireless is in fact 10-15% growth in net new subscribers, and there is an evolution to the use of WCDMA and CDMA 1xEVDO, and QCOM makes meaningful inroads into the WCDMA chipset market ?

MM--From everything we've seen, a growth rate in subscribers of 10 to 15 percent is highly unlikely. Furthermore, as others have pointed out, you have to consider not only new subscribers but existing subscribers upgrading their phones are buying second or third units, such as a PDA with wireless access and including QCOM chips. If China adopts CDMA at even the more conservative end of estimates, that alone would account for a 10 to 15 percent increase in subscribers.
