Dell sees fourth quarter product shipments in its profitable consumer business increasing by about 50% sequentially, with revenue growing about 40% from the third quarter.

The computer maker claimed the distinction of "the only computer systems company to attain year-over-year growth in global unit shipments" for both the fourth quarter and the full year.
