Why is MSN version 7 mentioned? Is MSN a product you buy, and if you don't buy it, you stick with version 4, 5 or 6? How much do you pay for an upgrade?

If you are an MSN user you get version 7 for free. I think they said MSN 7 even though they simply meant MSN as a whole. MSN now has over 8 million users which is quite an improvement from around 2 million a 1 1/2 years ago. This is a source of billions of $ in revenue if it continues to grow at this rate.
