Patricia

Apparently Active X issues are not uncommon with this program. I wouldn't go the route about deleting some files (at the bootom of this link) but would think you could trust them.

Hi Patricia,

I see that thecow has found a dialpad support page that deals with this issue. Looks like some good advise on that page.

Here is one other trick that you might try.

Open Internet Explorer and select "Tools/Internet Options". Click on the "Settings..." button, then click on the "View Objects..." button. Locate the Dialpad Java Applet(s) and right click on them. On the pop-up menu, select "Update".

I used dialpad when it was a free service. I only used it a few times. The connection sounded like some of the music that you hear over the Internet. It was chopppppy and sometimes sounddddded like you were talking frommmmm a cave..cave..cave. The party that I was talking to complained about the quality of the connection.

I should point out that I was on a dialup connection and using a microphone and speakers instead of a headset at the time. I haven't tried it with my cable modem.

Hope this helps.

B.K.

ps. When you do get it installed, please let us know what you think of it.
