I am so mad I could just explode at this point. It is an X73. I went to their web site and downloaded the newest and greatest. Also went through their trouble shoot which said to un-install, go to start>find>files and folders and look for any files under lxkx73 and delete them. Then go to run and type win.ini and remove any drivers for lx. That step didn't work and just pulls up a word pad deal and I didn't see anything about drivers. Said to unplug the printer for 5 minutes to lose something in memory and then re-load.

I did and low and behold it worked. Loaded up fine and worked through yesterday and 1/2 the day today. This afternoon all of a sudden a window comes up saying that a new piece of hardware has been detected. I remember that this is what killed it last time. I frantically try to make it stop but to no avail. It doesn't ask permission and there is no way to make it stop. It locates and attempts to install a driver and fails and then the printer no longer works. I would imagine that the driver somehow hoses the driver for the printer and here I am unable to print again.

I have gone through the whole un-install gig and tried to re install but alas this smart ole computer of mine will everytime detect my new hardware and hose me with it's version of a driver. POS!!
