Well, I think that's a sufficient comment. ("I am too feeble in the technical chart game.")

Where Earlie is feeble, no sane person should venture to stagger in.

I guess from time to time it's hard not to slip into superstitions, no matter what line of work you are in. I remember an old fisherman who always spit on his bait for good luck. None of the fish could ever be prevailed upon to say whether that had affected them.

I guess I can see some point in the idea that if you take out the previous December's low early in the year, it's not a good sign. But in that case it's a measure of a failure of crowd psychology to endorse the prospects of the new year.
