You should consider a third possibility:

That IMCL was less than forthcoming, to put it extremely mildly, with the scope of FDA's letter of late December. Specifically, there **appears** to have been a good deal of deception by omission by ImClone regarding the degree of insufficiency of their application...AND the time, effort and expense required to accommodate these glaring deficiencies.

This really appears to be an Enron-type lesson: it's not a conspiracy of the government or anything remotely of the sort. This has the appearance of a massive bungling on the part of ImClone...that may put the very sustainability of the company at risk.

This is my opinion alone. I am neither a shareholder nor am I related to anyone associated with the company, its lawyers, or (especially) its accountants.

I do have an ongoing relationship with my Dachshund, Willy, however.
