MSFT seemed to emphasize the downturn in Japan for the lowered second-half PC sales forecast.

Bobcor is spot on and it's what I have been telling people for some time. There was a great deal of cannabalization of sales from the months going forward with all the discounts and deals going on that we now have retail vacuum for the next 3-6 months. The only thing those sales accomplished was to draw down the inventory. The first 6 months here is going to be sluggish at best, which means more lay-offs, a slowing economy, etc.
