Sure, and it may boast *relatively* low power operation, too. But once you start adding pins and increasing the external frequency, you are going to raise costs, power, and possibly the need for extra layers of PCB. In an effort to maintain their low cost structure, I'm sure AMD won't be exploiting the full potential of HT right off the bat. And this goes for the desktop space, primarily. They may decide that the server market can absorb additional costs.
