Of course Enron contributed money to politicians to influence them. They wouldn't do it if they didn't get something out of it. The question is if they got special treatment or if the politicians did anything unethical. Without commenting on the Dems, if the Reps were "bought" as you say, I would be pretty pissed if I was Enron, cuz the Bush admin is pretty much letting them do a stage dive without and is stepping aside to let them hit the floor, rather than catching them.
