The other part of the contributions is that corporations or individuals will contribute to candidates who they believe already have views that will be beneficial to them. If I give $100 to the Libertarian candidate, I really don't expect to influence that candidate to vote for things that benefit me, I give the contribution because I want that candidate to get into office (I know, I know, an absurd assumption when talking about libertarians) because s/he can be expected to be the closest representative of my views.

Saying that the politicians are "bought" when the politicians already supported a corporation's agenda's, isn't really being "bought".
