Maybe I'll go see Black Hawk Down. It sounded kinda depressing to me, so I haven't seen it yet. This movie is especially tragic when you realize that, according to Bernard Lewis, one of the reasons for 9/11 was that our bug out of Somalia when this happened helped convince Ben Ladin that we would not retaliate. You don't have to listen to Prof. Lewis; OBL himself said so. That is why pulling out of Saudi would be a terrible mistake, much as I'd like to leave the Saudis to OBL's tender mercies. The oil fields of Saudi have always been his top goal -- talk about foreign policy chickens coming home to roost!
