Nice link to commentary on Enron. On the other hand, I was at a nice restaurant tonight and overheard someone at a nearby table ask what the others thought about the Enron fiasco. When the first response was "why, what happened?" the subject quickly changed. I personally found that to be a good reminder that what seems obvious to me (and others on this thread) is not necessarily obvious (or even noticed) by others. I would be curious to know how the many sharp investors on this thread deal with that issue in a market in which the short run is driven by perceptions and games and the long run is a succession of short runs.
