I agree. Their bottom line doesn't change. But investors' decisions are affected by the price of the metals, and these decisions affect stock prices, producer or not.

It is also perfectly logical to estimate what a stock price might be once the company starts generating revenus. All the parameters are known, or at least very good estimates can be achieved.

I have no comments on the remaining of your post as I do not believe it to be true.
