"Tort reform," "deregulation," "conflict of interest," "misstatement." You know, what ever happened to the words "lie," "cheat," "steal"? Those who run their business pursuits with an eye on ethics, morality and fair play don't often find themselves on the wrong end of anything other than a frivolous suit, where they are entitled to claim damages for the time and money they spend defending it. In a society where government does not always enforce the laws effectively against wrongdoers, the courts are the last bastion and refuge, the final line of defense for the innocent against the unscrupulous.
