Getting cold feet? Beginning to realize that Pugs doesn't have the faintest idea what he's talking about,
and that I have no qualms whatsoever about getting in touch with the authorities?
btw, a friend in the States just checked up on #57 traces.
Seems the results are sent to phone company,not to the person whose phone it is.
Do we imagine that Dobry's phone company got back to him immediately on the eve of a major holiday?
It's apparently not clear whether one can use this feature state-to-state either.
I can't offer an opinion, as I don't live in the States.
Perhaps someone else with experience in these matters could help.
Is Dobry lying yet again? If so, this particular lie would be a very serious one.

The phones in this country have two, count them, two features: *69 to ID the caller,
and *57 to trace the call.
Grow up Evans, and get a grip. *57 is used for a police report.

Snicker. I'm told it DOES say the report goes to the phone company,
who then gets in touch with the authorities.
Is Pugs so very beloved of his local phone company, not to mention the cops,
that they'd have got right back to him?
I really don't think so.
And I'm also amused that he said it was a hangup. Bob would never call anyone and do a heavy breather thing.
So did he just let it ring for awhile and then "hang up" when no one answered?
If so, your buddy the Puggle is gonna be a figure of fun with the #57 people.
And I strongly suspect the local cops have already had a bellyfull of his whining.

On the evening of July 3rd I rec'd yet another hang-up call at my home,
which has a brand new unlisted number. This call, using the *57 protocol, was traced to Cleveland, Mo.
Who do we know in "Cleveland, MO.", and why would he be calling investors that are victimes
of repeat offenders of security laws , repeat offenders who move markets on message boards and
one such message board being Silicon Investor, who's ex-"thread monitor" is also from
Cleveland, Mo? Imagine that. The Cleveland , MO. police dept was contacted, as was the FBI.
Oh dear. Can it be that you're actually DUMBER than Dobry, Jay?

Well, well, well. I see the sick bastage now has published my city on his site.
Something I've purposely kept hidden, and am quoted in a WSJ article as saying so.
Putting this here for safekeeping but note ("*"), I've replaced the real name of my town
with the "Boogerville" I've always called my place publicly.
Gary knows full well I've put effort into staying hidden from people like him and he just outed me.
He is harassing and recklessly endangering me and my family.
And it's obvious that endangering is his motive.
Here's what he put on his site:
7/4/01: 'WE GET PHONE CALLS !' On the evening of July 3rd I rec'd yet another hang-up call
at my home, which has a brand new unlisted number. This call, using the *57 protocol,

Here's why:
1. I have no desire to call him and never would, for any reason.
2. I'm too mature, by quite a bit, to do hang-up calls.
3. If his number is a brand new unlisted one, how would I have it?
4. If I have never called him before, why would I start now?
5. A paranoid with even a tenuous grasp on reality would think that I took his
phone number from the SI database while I worked there. I didn't, but if I were to call him,
wouldn't that be the number I'd use?
6. I don't know what "*57" even is. I thought "*67" shut off CallerID here,
but couldn't swear to it as I've never needed to use it.
7. Ummmm.... Pugly? The town I live in doesn't have a Police Department,
so you're telling a bald-faced lie when you say you reported anything to them.
Do you know nothing of rural areas? You should learn, so your lies might be less ridiculous.
8. Of course, the other nonsense ("repeat offenders", "move markets", etc) is also total BS,
but we already knew that. I was going to wait around for you to fail to meet yet another
of your deadlines (that I would be sued in 2 weeks -- something you started saying about 2 weeks ago),
but you've gone even further into "too far" territory.
I have put a lot of effort into keeping myself hidden and hard to find
because of psychotics such as yourself who have a misplaced vendetta against me,
and the only reason you're telling your lies on your site now is to further portray me (falsely)
as some kind of bad guy, and to give my location. Gary, there aren't even a hundred
people living in this town. You might as well have given everyone my friggin' address!
Because of your efforts to "out" me and my family and friends, and to lie about me
and the kind of person I am, I have no choice but to hold you personally responsible
for any harm or threat of harm that comes to a single one of them.
That includes physical, emotional or financial. Including credit or identity theft,
which I now suspect is a real threat to us.
