dearest kenny, a simplistic and dumb as usual analysis. As Arthur Anderson implodes because they lost their objectivity I think other auditors will not be inclined to loose theirs in the future.

I don't know the rules of what's required to be reported. But I'd say some rules that make what going on more clear would be helpful. But is may be current rules are OK and rules were broken so nothing needs to be done except send some folks to the big house.

Now Florida I think is using an organized crime type analysis to go after ENE. If what they falls into accounting rules but because of the intent violate anti mafia rules then again we have a situation of good checks and balances.

ENE is about corrupt individuals of ENE screwing up big time and the fault is ENE with help from Arthur Anderson. It's the abuse of power by private individuals.
