A snake oil salesman is still a snake oil salesman even if he says 'but I believe in my snake oil' -- in which case he is both a snake oil sales man and a fool. Bill truly was not selling anything to anyone and he owes nothing to anyone for that. Bill has no Fiduciary duty to the readers of SI.
