Solon apologizes to the universe for what North Americans have accomplished when no apology is needed. He wants to reduce the world to the common denominator of a third world cesspool to appease the pangs of his conscience. He seeks to replace God, rewrite history and play the Wizard of Oz role which is a tough juggling act at the best of times.

As did all the allies. But why do you believe that it is "OK", under the conventions of war...simply because people did it?? The fact that people break rules does not (in and of itself) make it "OK", does it??
