Gao, obvioulsy a certain person who has the same surnmane as the great founder of IBM hates Microsoft so anything he posts is absolutely totally biased. However, if AOL eats RED HAT and Linux and chooses to spend all their resources going after MSFT they could conceivably take a good market share by using their 33 million base as a springboard. However, they (AOL) have no corporate penetration to speak of so that presents a problem. Additionally, I would think that upending the use of Word, Office etc would be formidable as well as gettng folks to change OS's. My guess is that AOL would lose this battle especially since they are going into another's turf, but stranger things have happened
