alan, I don't hate windows, For most things I do is clunky and slow. I use linux as in mosts cases the application on linux are far more productive functionally. I use linux for everything I can as it's super stable and fast and the apps are better. But for some things I need borgware. Although currently I only need borg for printing photo resolution pics. That and turbo tax. All else I can do on linux. But if I get a new digital camera the download software may only be available for borg.

I think I'm going to try using vmware again and set up an nt 4.0 machine within linux and then set up printing on the virtual nt machine on linux. I can most likely run turbotax on that also.

Alan if you try Windows XP it is very good. I have found that Windows 95 was more reliable than 98 and that Windows Millenium was a total bust.
