The way I look at it, you never "vanquish" poison ivy or sewage. But, yes, people keep coming in and cleaning it out.

Maybe when the oilpatch gets more interesting again, discussion of that will resume. Right now, increasing Russian production and a softness in OPEC discipline is keeping prices and profits down--also with the astonishingingly fast increase in natural gas production last year.

It's amazing how the world keeps pushing back the date when hydrocarbons will, finally, be extremely expensive to produce. But $50 a barrel oil seems at least five years in the future right now. That's when the Alberta tar sands will start to be processed.

Hi Rustee. The thing that happened was that Slider started slowly disengaging; probably because of a run of losses in trading. At the same time isopatch was losing his ass and trying to cover it by claiming, (after the fact, of course) to have made miraculous trades. Dabum got tired of it and pursued him wherever he went with entertaining, funny posts that detailed his claimed buys and sells and tracked them in portfolios. He also detailed all of isopatche's macro calls which were, of course, overstated and terribly wrong. He had a lot of help from Kodiak, Jane, Terry Davis and others and even isopatch must have seen that he was exposed as a loud mouthed loser. For some reason isopatch never hid behind the ignore feature with Dabum, and Dabum annihilated him.

If it had been anyone but isopatch it would have been almost sad; but we've all seen the misery that pathetic man can cause and I think of it as justice. Most of the posts are here on sd. You can probably get most of the story by reviewing Dabum's entries in the last 60 or so posts.

Hope things are going well for you. Ed

Here Rustee, is probably my last post on the subject. I think people know what's going on now.

Slider can come back, Iso, I'll kick his butt again.
