The IBM prospect should serve notice that it would be a silly attempt to allocate money & resources to competing with VRSN in its space, especially when you can lock out your competitors with an exclusive agreement. An interest from IBM should also serve to illustrate the inevitable growth of Verisign's PKI & Payment Services.
