I have to enter the fray here. Peter Pan is correct on the subject of unrealized losses. Let me try an analogy. Suppose a house down the street sells at a price that is x dollars less than what you thought was the going rate. Do you go crying to your wife that you've just lost x dollars in the housing market? Being more sensible she will calm you down by telling you that it was somebody else's trade not yours. She will point out that you have a house to live in, not flip in the real estate market. Someone else's trade is of interest but of no consequence. When you do sell your house sometime in the future the price you receive will not be in any way affected by what happened today. Most of us probably buy income trusts for income rather than capital gains. Good luck to those who choose to trade frequently as they keep the market liquid. I think it's in a way unfortunate that other peoples' trades have to appear on my account statement, but I keep in mind that they are just that, other peoples' trades.
Can we try to live and let live, trade and let trade?

Stupid Peter quote # 9: "I CAN'T LOSE".
Keep'em coming, you egotistical jackass.

------------ Gee nice come back to the facts and data I have presented. WHAT NONE OF YOUR OWN. AS USUAL. Have to resort to that name calling again. THAT SO PROVES YOUR CASE. ----------------------

------------ As my documented evidence supports over the last 9 months , I HAVEN"T LOST. As I am still getting more and more current high income and prices have been and will recover. And when the cycle repeats to lows again I will accumulate still more getting more income and prices will then again recover. And this will repeat and repeat and repeat. AS IT ALWAYS HAS . And I'll be laughing all the way to the bank. All the while you and your side will be shorting and losing, trading and losing. Every once in a while you'll stop to show some unrealized gains. Only to have those gains disappear when you foolishly sell at losses when you get scared or stupid. When asked about your losses you'll just pretend they don't exist. Or lie about how they are really gains. And hope that joe average here will believe your doom and gloom forecasts (DEAD WRONG) and con him into doing the wrong thing at the wrong time, so that you can take advantage of his selling at a loss so you can make a gain. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. -------------------------

----------- And now to that outrageous claim of yours that started off this round, that you can trade these or short these trusts in periods of just days for superior gains. Your 3 month test period starts tommorrow. After the 3 months we can judge its "superiority" As I stated I am very sceptical but will be glad to give you the opportunity to prove yourself. As in the manor you proved yourself in the last 9 months with your trading and shorting. I suspect the results will be very similar. LOSSES LOSSES LOSSES , GOOD LUCK YOUR GOING TO NEED IT. -------------------------------------------
