I'm still sticking with my C Band dish which I've had for almost 10 years. That puppy knocks out some pretty good video. It's nice getting the "direct" 27Mhz wide bandwidth FM signals out of the satellite direct from the providers such as HBO, Cinemax ect.

Direct TV and the other one have been improving the encoding but in the last year I have seen a decrease in signal quality from them. It's really shocking to put them side by side....KU band Direct TV and C Band. It's like night and day!

Got some sidecar converters (MPEG and HDTV) for my GI 650 RCVR and I hardly watch my small dish anymore.
