Jimp, KB, Dabum, Gottreid, etal

thanks for the comments on TER. I do not think that they were lumped with AMAT etc last week since they came out with their own bad news story the same day as Intel's report. The stated that they see no turn on the horizon, not even a better 2nd half of 2002 statement.

I liked Gottreid's monthly chart because it indicates that even a probable run down to 20 will stay within the channels. I watched TER in late 98 and 99, it bottomed at 15 and turned north straight to 70 with no significant retracement. This time is already different in that regard. My play at the moment, always subject to change of course, is to ride down to 21-22 ish, wait and watch, and then go long if it merits as I expect it to. Key to wait and watch it may take months.

Looking to go long XTO as soon as Jim says its okay to re-enter natural gas. GGG

Thanks again,

hdr

Jim,
I agree with a lot of your assessment. I have been out of the energy sector since early last year. I have been shorting the last few months with excellent success. I believe March/April will present some very good entry points in the sector, possibly sooner.
Good luck,
Sportsman

Jim,

If some one is looking to buy 1 or 2 stocks to make a position in this sector for next two years, what would be good stocks to own? HAL looks to be close to its low but due to Asbestos issue. Can we still look at it as oil-services or more a litigation play?

ESV seems to have already ran up significantly from Sept. lows but RIG may be close to its low. Any thoughts?
