No disagreement with that point. The problem is that the conservatives in office, as well as those in the media, have become so conditioned to being losers and blaming the public whom they should have been leading, that they fail to recognize that they have an extremely successful administration that has figured out the new Carville/Begala/media enemy and how to counter it effectively. The Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, etc. are finally recognized as aligned with the opposition (something Bob Dole and many others never could seem to accept) and PR and political strategy are designed with the true realities in mind. The Bush administration fights America's internal enemies with the same patience, followed by the same quick-and-effective strikes (though far more subtle than B-52 raids) that they handled the Taliban power structure in Afghanistan.

Why was this administration hated by the American left to an extent not seen since the Nixon administration BEFORE September 11? Because they were WINNING, and turning at every point not only the Daschlegephardt faction, the McCain whacko faction, but also the receding faction of the fanatical media dedicated to their destruction. September 11 advanced this trend exponentially, and the possibility of defeating Bush in 2004 has already become a fleeting dream for the Democrats, who will, as 2002 starts to fade, shockingly discover a presidential "candidate shortage"-as hopeful after hopeful drops out for lack of funds, (and blames "big money special interests" each time-LOL!!).

I take issue with criticism of the Bush strategy because I see it working. If that changes in the future, I will express my opinion clearly on it...
