I think you are probably right. Enron is something they can relate to because of the media spinning it to be rich stealing from the poor. J6P doesn't care about rich people losing money even if the LTCM might have actually had a more devastating effect on them if it had played out. Today CNBC had a reporter asking people on the street what the DOW was and no one could give an answer. I thought for a second it was Jay Leno doing his famous Jay Walking.
