This drill program was focused on the Subriso East and Subriso West targets, and was designed to expand on the geochemical, geophysical, trench and drill data previously collected by Fairstar Explorations Inc. All drill results are being evaluated by geological staff for follow-up exploration. Assaying of drill samples was conducted and reported by Transworld Laboratories (Austria) with checks by SGS Laboratories (Belgium), both from their facilities in Ghana. As per the table above, some of the reverse circulation drill results were verified by diamond drilling. Variances are within acceptable limits. St. Jude is presently conducting a detailed geochemical soil sampling survey on the South Benso project to establish new exploration and drill targets. Follow-up drilling has commenced at both the Subriso East and Subriso West targets. St. Jude and Fairstar have amended their agreement with respect to the South Benso concession in order to allow the original licensee to convert its 7.5-per-cent net profits interest to a 7.5-per-cent shareholding interest in the Ghanaian joint venture company. Accordingly, St. Jude now has the right to earn up to an unencumbered 60.125-per-cent interest in the South Benso property by advancing the project to the feasibility report stage. St. Jude is presently working with Fairstar to finalize the transfer of the property to the new joint venture company. As previously reported, the South Benso concession is contiguous to and directly north of St. Jude's Hwini-Butre property. Together these two concessions incorporate approximately 30 contiguous kilometres of the prevailing strike of the prolific Ashanti gold belt. (c) Copyright 2002 Canjex Publishing Ltd. stockwatch.com
