In Canada it was found that New Canadians turned out at the polls up to 90%. While Canadians turned out 40-60%. So the politicians petition the New Canadian vote in order to stay in office.

Solutions to contemporary Problems. (It's no use fighting) 1. Crime in the streets. Reduce laws. Lay off policemen. Automatically crime is reduced. No law agin it, no arrest - no crime. Note that retaliation is also off the books. Fewer cops mean fewer crooked cops, fewer crooks protected by them, less crime again. 2. Immorality, pornography, illicit poetry readings etc... Relax standards of decency so anything goes. People soon cannot distinguish between what used to shock and what was bad and what they thought they ought to be doing, so in time, the urge to do indecent things will be passe. 3. Drugs Make drugs mandatory and make dosages higher and purity higher. (Mr. Hyde will thank you.) The in thing will be to skip injection, community smoke ups or drunks. Hanging out straight will be daring and everyone will sneak out at night to do that. 4. Excessive Immigration etc.. Make US an open country, if the state of the immigrant is also 100% open to tax free US investment. All others refused on unsatisfactory balance of payment grounds. Also one could make it a no visa, no passport country, but routinely ship all nationals that can be identified as such back to their country every ten years with no exceptions. If flights home were free, and high prices paid on all property of immigrants but landing fees were say 20,000 dollars per head to balance that, at least we would make money on the people coming in. Sounds fair. Why not charge? After all it's the new millenium. 5. Illiteracy, proliferation of non English. You guessed it. Go to sign language, simpler spelling. the rest of this message is a demo --> ^ yrs mdrfkr, -->me yr $ r I cap u. 6. Eroding dollar. Whew! No brainer. Do away with it before it shrinks out of sight! Barter, trade, silver gold etc. silver and gold coinage never inflates. It's true. China proved it over 1000 years. Only paper money inflates. 7. taxes. Fire 75% of all government civil servants who cannot answer the question, "what is the function of your job within government" in 5 seconds or "quickly describe three useful things you did today". Fire 75% of all servants anyway. do away with Income tax, sales tax, and tax on any item in any way that is a necessity. Keep excise tax, business tax at 20%. Allow deductions on all bought items at 30% per year. 8. Health Make people run to work, if it is less than ten miles. Ban all chemicals that are put on food. Pay all doctors a flat 150,000 per year, but pay all their insurance and expenses, clinics etc... Only allow 1500 patients per doctor. Bring back may pole dancing. 9. Politics, ethnic clashes, regional difference. Do away with states, ethnic classes or nationalities except to establish country residence requirement if not born here. 10. Job/pay/work inequity. All establishment of two things. On the job educational certification that employers must meet with every employee. Give them tax deductions to train employees to certain national certifications. They must pay minimums for classes of jobs, but may pay merit. 11. Poverty. Establish state jobs that are contract that may be bid on by trained people. From trash pick up to aircraft design. The labour market should reward people who find jobs for people. Right now the government rewards employees who feed the system or cycle. It's coming soon to a neighbourhood near you. Actually I lied. Non of the above are any solution. Strangely you will find that they are no worse than what we are doing today. There is no cogent reason not to do these things. In point of fact there is one nation that has no body of criminal statue law and during one period had no government for 30 years! Prositution is legal, and police carry no guns. All law is a hodge podge of court decisions patched together over 1000 years that no one could research or possible understand. 135 years ago they abandoned drawing and quartering criminals while hanging them for crimes of theft. during this period theft was epidemic in their streets. Their cities were so filthy, rodent infested and the hygiene of their people so poor that at one point plague wiped out 30 per cent of their population. England as many have guessed. I don't know how they survived. I would like to see the americans solve one thorny social problem. Their poverty rate is 30%. It is highest relative povery rate in the world. No other nation has so many people that are relatively poor. How can they solve this? Germany, Japan, Hungary, Norway, England, do not have so many poor. How do they do it? Why is the US so backward? It is not as many might believe that it is purely a relative problem. US poor are as poor as poor anywhere in modern nations. This is their greatest national disgrace. The inequitability of their economic and social system. If they solve this they solve at one many racial and other problems. It might help if they approached many of their social problems in this way. EC<:-}
