But the examples of purported waste on $600 hammers were not legitimate, and were not understood by either the public or the media (or, apparently, by you). Stop with the hammers already. There were many more things than $600 hammers....like $5k toilets or $1000 coffee makers........the list goes on and on. The military pays top dollar because they have their equipment custom made every time they go out to bid.....even if the specs are essentially the same. For some reason, they don't get the concept of taking a sharp pencil to their budgets.
