"Neither the US as a country or the US government is broke. "

Tim, only because we can print more money which, of course, is inflationery. Why do you think inflation was not a problem in the 90's?

We don't have a lot of problems with inflation now. Also inflation went down a lot in the 70s. The last time it was severe for an extended length of time was the 70s.

Also there is no need to inflate the money supply for the US to be solvent. The long term trend of growth in the US economy is high enough to easily pay back the debt even with lower taxes then today (not even includeing the fact that lower taxes tend to encourage growth). All we have to do is contain spending. We can even allow spending to grow we just have to limit its growth to a reasonable rate (perhaps equal to or just slightly greater then the combined rates of inflation and population increase).

2 - You didn't answer my question. Where you in favor of a tax cut when we had the surpluses

I answered it in another post.

Did you answer it today or as part of an earlier debate? I can't seem to find it.

Edit - I checked every post in your profile today and I can't find it.
