Case in point. Exodus Communications. Succeeded in vaporizing ~$4 billion in debt and equity financing in about, oh, 3 years. But - assets of Exodus just sold to Cable & Wireless for ~$750 million. Exodus infrastructure (internet data centers) still in place and providing services to customers. Technology revolution continues, too bad for the original investors/lenders.

Ughhhh! Ironic that your previous paragraph mentioned Hitler and other unthinkables as you chronicle the German central banks 1920's policy in this one........ :(
