I agree. At least a couple top executives must spend time behind bars in order to serve as examples to other companies. In addition, all executives should be required to return every dollar derived from insider selling.

Count of Monte DumbDumb:

Congress and the administration received huge contributions from enron.

Congress then passed a law that said gas derivatives are not securities and therefore are not subject to the securtities disclosure rules.

Congress then passed a law which severly limited the liability of accounting firms to securities laws, for mistatements.

Congress then passed a law which made it impossible for lawyers to go after the companies themselves for this kind of fraud.

You cannot make a rule that someone cant go around.

The executive branch signed all this legislation.

They all knew what they were doing and they took the money.

You need civil actions and the threat of civil actions to stop this corruption.

These same people buried McCains disclosure of political contributions bill.

I am not saying that these crooks should go free, but Using those invovled here as the "scapegoat" to hide and not really understand what really happened is stupid.
