An amazing staff of dedicated accountants they put to work to throw darts at that dartboard number.

Perhaps we can get Bill O'Reilly to send an emissary to the Post to explain that the latest intelligence briefings indicate that Clinton is no longer President.

Sunday's New York Post reported that a full 89 percent of Clinton budget cuts under the president's "Reinventing Government" initiative came at the expense of the armed forces...

Rollcast,
amazing...
i guess they finally read some of my old posts.

the American defense budget is a matter of public record. everyone has access to the numbers.
the cuts over 8 years were unbelievable...but even more of those cuts were camouflaged by domestic spending programs that were tacked onto defense budgets to make the spending amounts seem higher.
the biggest loss was at mid and upper management levels. many many of our best and most experienced combat leaders resigned or did not re-up because of training dollar shortages. they simply did not want to lead untrained soldiers into combat.
fortunately the training situation is improving now.

i won't even mention the number of US intelligence gathering organizations (military and civilian) that the former commander-in-chief dismantled. presently, there is a mad scramble to try to reinstate some of our old capabilities that got thrown out.
