INVESTORS: BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR

January 22, 2002 -- DOES America have the nerve to really look into corporate accounting?

With Enron exploding these past few weeks, everyone has been screaming for more careful auditing of companies. That's good - had the accountants and Wall Street analysts been awake during the 1990s a lot of people would still have their Enron and dot-con investments stored safely elsewhere.

But investors should be careful what they wish for.
