I thought the F-15s/16s themselves were over $50 million. I was reading something about Boeing and I remember that number in connection with those planes The airforce's factsheet site lists $34.3 mil. for the F-15 as it's "flyaway cost")http://www.af.mil/news/factsheets/F_15_Eagle.html But then training the pilot and adding the cost of the missiles and bombs and fuel it might have been carrying would add a lot. The F-16 was supposed to be the cheap fighter. They cost less then the F-15 but the difference was not as great as it was initially expected to be. Tim
