Cooked? Well, without the balance sheet, one can't be completely sure how things are going for AMZN, but the income statement looks good to me. They cut operating expenses (fullfillment, S&M, G&A) more than in half from year ago levels and still grew sales by 15%. Not bad. And the GAAP profit looks real to me, unless someone can show me that they hid costs somewhere off the P&L. Even the proforma number only adds back the conventional items like amortization charges and non-operating items.

Of course, this still doesn't get them out of the woods. A penny in Q4 isn't much of a year for an $11 retail stock, especially if they can't make money the rest of the year. We also have to look at their liquidity to see if they can survive to realize the further cost improvements and growth that Bezos promises.
