I think caution is in order so personally I am going to watch for a while today. It feels like a gap and drop is possible to me.

From Briefing.com: 8:40AM : The futures have been improving throughout pre-mkt and are pointing to a higher open led by strong tech performance thanks to Lucent (LU 6.69) and Amazon (AMZN 10.16) providing positive guidance...Semi equipment stocks ticking higher despite negative Barron's article....Kmart (KM 1.74) plunges 67% to $0.65 after company stops weekly payments to major supplier, suggesting that a bankruptcy filing is closer than thought....
Global equities mixed. Japan fell for the ninth time in the last ten sessions, dragged down by semiconductor shares. European shares have pushed higher on the back of strength in the insurance sector. The yen plunges to a 3-yr low on comments from Treasury Secretary O'Neill that he does not oppose the currency's slide. Current indications: S&P 500 futures are +6.6, or 6.6 pts above fair value. Nasdaq 100 is +19 or 34 pts above fair value. Nas 100 PMI +17.

Don't forget there are several semiconductors reporting after the market closes tonight.
