Hi Jim,

Aren't we getting to the time of year where the retailers are seasonal weak? After the jump in sales usually associated with Christmas sales, there is usually a lull till spring fashions come out.

Technically, the COMPX has generated a buy signal. Unfortunately, the SOX is not generating a similar signal and indicates there is more downside.

At this point I can't see a catalyst for the market to reverse in a significant way. I can only see some weak bounces within a newly established down trend.

I think it will just be a matter of time people starts focusing on this one as well. Their books is just a mess. Chart wise it si still holding okay. A break of 17.40 would be a short or put trigger. none.

What took them so long? Last week I suggested that PSFT is a great short due to potential accounting concerns (masking their development cost). Plust the chart was showing obvious breakdown. I guess in this post ENE world, people finally wised up to accounting issues equals sell! I think the really selling has just started on this one. As ADX picking up steam and MACD crossing below zero line. short PSFT.

AMZN
Who would have thought a year ago that KM would be chapter 11, and AMZN actually turns a profit in a recession? Anyway, KM really isn't a stretch. A few weeks ago, the bonds of KM has well telegraphed their demise. As I have suggested here. AMZN is doing a nice technical breakaway gapup in a lousy market. The move isn't exhausted yet. I would think this move took out the recent horizontal resistance. But for those who don't like to "chase" moves, a call is worth the shot here. Buy to open AMZN Feb 10 calls.
