Tony, Re: "What chipsets are these Ashok is talking about?
10:57 ET Broadcom (BRCM) 46.43 -2.09: In a pre-open note, USB Piper Jaffray analyst Ashok Kumar argued that BRCM's ServerWorks is seeing its first serious competition from Intel (INTC) in one-way and two-way server platforms; Kumar says this could threaten Broadcom's strategy to use chipsets as entry points for gigabit ethernet and other products into server OEMs."

I bet he's talking about Plumas, Intel's new 2-way Xeon chispet that is set to launch soon. This will certainly compete in the same markets as Serverworks. Pluas supports things like dual channel DDR and 100MHz PCI - perfect for server environments. It should be a winner of a chipset.

Tony, one personal gripe I have is that the ServerWorks Grand Champion chipset for Foster has been delayed quite a bit. It should have come out last year, but now my WAG is that it will come out in March of this year.
